The Lamia X.C.O Challenge 2016 – UCI S2 is for the categories of Elite Women and Elite Men only.

5. Registration ProcedureRegistration Procedure
The participants can register using the following ways:

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Registration of the riders (with distribution of Race number plates and timing chips) can only be done at the Registration office which will be at ELENA HOTEL in Lamia during the following working hours:
15th April 2016 12:00 – 14:00
The registration fee is: 200euros until 31/03/2016
250 euros from 01/4/2014 to 12/04/2016
UCI License is kept and returned with the return of the number + chip. Please note that training will not be authorized without a number plate. Riders who don’t return the timing chip after the event will be charged 50 Euros for replacement. The Registration office will be located at the place of the race.

6. Race venue
The massif of Profitis Hlias of Lamia where the race takes place, is 3km far from the centre of Lamia. There is direct access to the race tracks and paths. Athletes will stay in hotels in the region. There are many catering businesses near the place of the race.

7. Route description 
The race has the starting and finishing lines at Profitis Hlias of Lamia and runs along paths and forest roads. The altitude reaches 119 m. The route is in the forest, the paths are pleasurable and take the athletes through a tunnel of natural beauty.

8. Medical Points
Throughout the event there will be a rescue team of 20 members available at many points and in full communication for quick recovery. There will also be a doctor and an ambulance.

9. Press Office – Anti-doping tests-Race Office – Race meeting room
The Press Office - Anti-doping Control - Race Office – Race Meeting Room will be located at Profitis Hlias near the Start / Finish area. The press office will be fully equipped for online communication. The Race Ceremonies will be near the Start / Finish area.

10.Technical support
All bikes taking part in the event have the opportunity of a technical check and during the race there will be technical support points near the Start / Finish area.

11. Parking locations
Parking locations will be near the Start / Finish area.

12. Hospital
The Hospital is in the centre of Lamia 2km far from the race.

14. History of the race
The organization committee << PROTEAS >> Cycling team has organized many M.T.B XCO, XCM, two UCI C2 races in 2014, a three day Stage Race S2 in 2015 and a UCI C2 race, three UCI CI races, a three day Stage Race S1, a three day Stage Race S2 and a UCI C3 in 2016, two National Cups and two National Marathon XCM Championships. Co-organizer is the Municipality of Lamia.

15. General Guide
Lamia is a city in central Greece consisting of 55.315 residents, about 200km far from the Airport Eleftherios Venizelos in Athens and 100km far from the Nea Anchialos National Airport in Volos. The city dates back to antiquity, and is today the capital of the regional unit of Phthiotis and of the Central Greece region. Archaeological excavations have shown the site of Lamia to have been inhabited since at least the Bronze Age. In Antiquity, the city played an important role due to its strategic location, controlling the narrow coastal plain above Thermopylae that connected southern Greece with Thessaly and the rest of the Balkans.
